Toy and Mini Aussies, also known as Toy and Miniature Australian Shepherds, have all the characteristics of the larger version of Australian Shepherds. They are herding and livestock dogs that embody intelligence, beauty, pride, bravery and loyalty. They excel in herding, agility, obedience, rally and fly ball competition.

 

They are devoted and loyal companions and make excellent family dogs. This breed are people dogs and do require human interaction. They need exercise and mental stimulation on a routine basis to prevent them from becoming bored. When given this, you will not find a more devoted and loving dog. They will help you raise your children, herd the critters around your home (or you whenever possible). No matter what size you choose as your companion, they are a joy to have around.
